Application Deadlines:

  • November 30th - International applicants
  • December 1st - Domestic applicants

Application and supplemental materials (including OFFICIAL test scores) must be received by the published deadlines to ensure sufficient time for processing.

Minimum Admission Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university
  • Grade point average of B (3.0) or higher
  • Minimum TOEFL score of 600 (paper based), 250 (computer based), or 100 (internet based) International applicants only

How to Apply:

  1. Submit a University online application and fee payment. Click here for more details.
  2. Request the following materials and send them to the University Graduate Admissions Office at The Ohio State University, Graduate Admissions, PO BOX 182004, Columbus, OH 43218-2004.
    • Official (tape reported) GRE General Test Scores*
    • Official (tape reported) TOEFL Scores (international students only)*
    • Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate course work
  3. Send the following materials to the Neuroscience Program Office at the address below.
    • Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate course work
    • Three letters of recommendation with Reference Form
    • Autobiographical statement of purpose (for help on completing the statement of purpose, please refer to the FAQ page)
    • Curriculum Vitae

Test Information:

Applicants must take the GRE General Test for their application to be considered by the Neuroscience Graduate Studies Program.  GRE Subject Tests are recommended but not required.
