What are your application deadlines for Fall Quarter enrollment?
Domestic applicants must submit ALL materials to the Neuroscience Program no later than December 1st. International applicants must submit ALL materials by November 30th.
Are students accepted into the program during winter, spring or summer quarters?
Typically, students should not apply for entry during "off" quarters (winter, spring and summer). However, there may be occasion when funding is available for admittance during these quarters. It is advised that students inquire with the program coordinator before completing a formal application to the program for "off" quarter entry.
Is there a minimum GRE test score required for admission?
The Neuroscience Graduate Studies Program does not have a minimum GRE test score requirement.
Will you accept photocopies of test scores for admission?
No. Photocopies of TOEFL, IELTS, MELAB, GRE or GMAT scores are not considered to be official and are not acceptable substitutes for official scores.
Is the GRE subject test required for admission to the program?
No, but it is strongly recommended. The program's admissions committee finds the test scores very useful in their decision making.
What funding opportunities are available to Neuroscience graduate students?
All Neuroscience graduate students receive full tuition, single student health insurance, and an annual stipend (currently $23,600 USD).
Fellowship awards are available from the Graduate School.
Is there a foreign language requirement?
No.

Where do I send supplemental application materials?
All supplemental application materials are sent to the Neuroscience Graduate Studies Program office at the address listed on the website. Send a second copy of your transcripts to the OSU Graduate Admissions Office
What are the guidelines for the autobiographical statement of purpose?
In compiling your statement of purpose, please include responses to the following:
- Discuss your academic background in chronological order indicating your current interests and goals.
- Why do you want to attend graduate school?
- Why do you want to study neuroscience?
- Why do you want to enroll in the neuroscience program at The Ohio State University
