16. Travel Awards

Advisors are expected to pay for students to attend conferences to present their work. In the event that insufficient funds are available, students may apply to the NGSP for financial assistance. Normally such awards will not exceed $500 and will normally be made only if the student is presenting their data. The funds may be used to pay for travel, meeting registration, or accommodation. Applications must be submitted to the NGSP committee along with a detailed budget and a copy of the abstract to be presented. Any awards will be subject to the availability of funds and will be awarded on a first come, first served basis. Students may receive only one travel fund award during their tenure as NGSP student.
