Research:
Currently identifying cis-acting regulatory polymorphisms by measuring allelic expression inbalance (AEI) for multiple genes implicated in drug abuse. Future work will include identifying similar elements in serotonergic genes in brain areas implicated in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and genotyping ASD populations for the presence of such elements.
